About Us
At the Waynesville First Free Will Baptist Church, we have one message- the message of the Lord Jesus Christ, and one ministry- the ministry He has given
us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. We believe this can be obtained through fervent soul winning, preaching, Sunday school, youth ministry, men and women's ministry,
missions at home and around the world and any other Christ honoring method.
There are many Free Will Baptist churches in America with the heaviest influence in the eastern half of our nation. Free Will Baptists have been spreading the gospel of our Lord since the very early days of our nation, dating back to the early to mid-1700's. We believe in and support missions literally around the world "that all may know Him."
We are a self-governing body of believers. We believe that the head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. It is our desire to be a truly "New Testament" church, taking the gospel around the corner, and around the world.
We sing "traditional" hymns. Without apology we are a traditional, conservative and fundamental church and stand firm on the "old time preaching" of the Word of God!
